To sign-up new subscribers to your list and send them free e-courses, follow-up emails, newsletters, announcements and more.
Second only to your website(s) is a high quality Autoresponder. Working for you 24 hours a day an autoresponder is a necessity. People will not take your website seriously if you do not have a way for them to get more information about your site, your products or services, or blog topic. People who sign-up to your list are your best qualified visitors or most loyal readers.
Sending out up-dates or newsletters on a regular basis is a great way to keep people coming back to your site, making it more "sticky."
There are a lot of autoresponders available including free programs. I strongly suggest you do not use a free autoresponder. I am a big fan of free marketing tools but when it comes to autoresponders I can't stress enough the need for your own dedicated autoresponder system.
Here's why: Your message will be lost in the sea of advertisements that the autoresponder provider includes in all Your out-going emails. That is why they provide the free service, they are basically getting you to send their ads to your subscribers. Again, no one will take you seriously.

Your Business Can Not Do Without.
I'm going to assume that you are serious about your Internet Marketing business because you are here reading this page, which means you are looking for resources, which means you understand there are resources you need to make your Internet Marketing business a success.
It's true that there are ways to make money online that are 100% free. I personally have made a good deal of money off a free site called Squidoo. I have live articles on free article directories. The FBT blog is hosted free at Blogger as are several of my other blogs.
That's great. There are free resources available and I strongly suggest you use the good ones.
They all have downsides however, mostly lack of control. For example Squidoo recently changed their policies and deleted tens of thousands of pages. These pages had been built by hard working people like You and I. In an instant all their hard work was gone. So use free resources when you can, just remember that they carry risks.
In The End It All Comes Down To Control.
If you want to control your online destiny you must build a web presence and have at least some hands on participation. The best way is to build at least one simple website that you own (not a clone or affiliate site ) and can edit at will.

If You Want To Be A Success You Must Have The Best Tools Available.
I'm only going to talk about two autoreponder services, the top two. We use both services at FBT, for several reasons (I won't go into right now). We have tested both extensively and there is just no clear winner.
Aweber has slightly better features but is slightly more expensive at $19.00 USD per month.
Trafficwave isn't quite as feature rich but at $17.95 USD it is a little more affordable and includes a residual referral program and is the clear winner for speed of delivery.
My advice: Look over both services, compare the features and benefits of each and decide which one will be the best fit for the needs of your business and your personal goals.

When it comes to domain name registration GoDaddy is the best. Because of price and quality of service they just can't be beat. Their domain names are easily used with your Homestead account and both services provide step-by-step instructions on exactly how
to set it up. The only drawback to Homestead's system is that their domains are a little expensive. Get your
domains at GoDaddy
and incorporate them
with your Homestead
account.

Now You Have Laid The Foundation For A Successful Internet Marketing Business.
You have your domain name(s). You have a fast, simple way to build websites. You have an autoresponder set up to collect your visitors contact details so you can follow up with more information or invite them back for another visit.
Now For The Most Important Part ~ Content.
You may have heard, or maybe not, that "Content Is King"
Well, it's true!
Content is what your website is about. The article you are reading now is content. Articles, product descriptions, music, video, instructions are all examples of website content. In most cases content will refer to articles or text of some kind.
Search engines read the text on your web pages to find out what they contain. Having fresh, useful, relavent content on your sites is mandatory. Even more important; your content needs to be Original if you have any hopes of getting free traffic from search engines.
I realize not every one is a writer or wants to learn how to create original content themselves.
That Is Not A Problem!
You can get original content created for you at very affordable prices...about a penny per word. There are several ways to do this but I'm only going to talk about the method I use for some of my websites and article directory submissions.
Step #1 ~ Purchase some high quality Private Label Rights articles.
Step #2 ~ Go to Fast Article Rewriters and have them rewritten into original content. (about a penny per word)
Step #3 ~ Paste the rewritten articles into your website and publish it to the world.
